I already know what you are thinking,
“Lola, lola….lola!! You start a diet every New Year. “
“Actually, I think you start a diet every New Week!”
It is true.
I really do think that this time is different. This time I am confident that my mind and spirit are stronger than my fat butt!
Jan. 5th is the weigh in. My husband has vowed to make this lifestyle change too.
Looking for a little Help too? I just joined Sparkpeople (again). It helps you keep track of your nutrition, exercise, and other goals.
I’ve found a few other Tutorials that might help if you are on the Diet and Exercise bandwagon!

I put my little weight loss ticker in my sidebar, and I’m going to show you some before and after pictures……when we get closer to the after! The before pictures are truely hideous. I know that they’d make you throw-up a little in your mouth!
Going to try a few new “low fat wheat bread” recipes. If you have any suggestions, tips, or recipes….let me hear ’em!

  1. When you stand on the wii fit, does it go “oooh!” too? I started my weight loss today, and it did that to me, so I am hoping it does it to everyone, not just me! It does allow you to track your non wii fit excercise time, too, which is nice. I just bought a yoga mat, might have to make me a cute cover for it now! 🙂


  2. Good luck with the healthy eating, getting fit thing, your a better person than me I just can’t diet the minute I think of diet I think of chocolate, but i am going to make more of an effect to walk to school more and also use the wii fit that should be fun.Joanne. xx


  3. I do believe in general, most homemade wheat bread is low in fat. Unless you put a huge hunk of butter on top of it. I have substitued applesauce for oil in mine to make it fat free, but it’s not the same.


  4. How many of us are on this bandwagon yet again? Anyway my tip for today is to write down everything you eat in a day. It really does help and can stop you sneaking those extra cookies when you know you have to add them on to your list 😉

I just made a great whole wheat bread recipe:1 packet active dry yeast2 cups warm water1/3 cup honey or dark molasses2 Tablespoons soft shortening2 teaspoons salt5 1/2 to 6 cups cups whole wheat flour (I used 5 1/4)In mixing bowl place in order given all ingredients except flour. Add flour gradually to make a stiff dough. Knead on well floured surface until smooth and satiny, 8 to 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Cover; let rise in warm place until doubled, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.Divide in 1/2; shape into balls. Cover with bowl; let rise 15 minutes. Shape into loaves. Place into well greased 9×5 or 8×4 pans. Cover; let rise until light and doubled, about one hour.Bake at 375 for 30 to 35 minutes, or until deep golden brown.I used High Altitude Hungarian Whole Wheat Flour to make it.Good luck! You can totally do it!!!!I am going to get CheLEAN Extreme for Valentines Day. It’s a 90 day kick your but workout routine. Apparently I will become a “fat burning machine” by completing it. 😉


  6. Great tutes!!! I love the water bottle bag and I bought Gabbie one of those towels at a boutique here, she loves it so much, I would love to make her more. We got Wii fit for the family for Christmas from my parents, it’s amazing.. although it lets me know in no uncertain terms that I need to shed a few pounds ( ok, more than a few, but who’s counting!)


  7. Great crafts! But more importantly:YOU CAN DO IT!! The weight loss goal is always a good one and every time we begin again in earnest, we get closer to our ideal weight. I really think that every little bit counts!
