….and then I laughed…….

Several months ago
our family watched Nacho Libre.
It was painful. Torture. Agonizing.
I was so embarrassed for Jack Black to be in such a travesty.
I couldn’t wait for it to be over, as I had NEVER witnessed anything as bad as this movie was.
My kids loved it…..of course.

Last night, to get the kids to stop whining, we watched it again
and I laughed.
?
Maybe it was because It wasn’t nearly as bad as I remembered,
or maybe
I really am being …..slowly driven crazy by summer break???
My favorite quote of the whole movie is
“I’ve had diarrhea seence Easters.”
Jack, in that lovely wrestling suit,
those Giant Red Undies,
Priceless.
“I ate some bugs.”
“I ate some grass.”
“I used my hands
to wipe my
tears”

  1. Nothing beats a comedy although Jack Black would not be my first choice. My kids however love him and can also watch some crappy slapstick movies again and again. During holidays I am so glad I work full-time but they still drive me crazy phoning and texting me constantly. But, at least they are talking to me!

  2. You obviously haven't seen Be Kind, Rewind. That movie sucked. The only reason we finished it was because we had already invested an hour of our lives in it.

Nacho Libre is hilarious to talk about. It's sad that it really isn't that funny of a movie, but it is so funny to talk about. I think my favorite Nacho Libre memory is seeing it with the boys and having Zack and Colton make fun of it the whole time (mostly Zack).

  3. Oh, I love this movie, hilarious!!! Jack Black is one of my favorites and I especially love it when he does movies without some of the vulgarity in others. He was so funny on Letterman the other night. From the other responses, I see I am the minority lol I guess there is a lot of immaturity in this 38 year old Mom, or maybe my kids have really driven me crazy LOLOL

  4. So agree! The first time I watched it I was super tired and thought it was completely stupid. But I watched it again with my kids and we were all cracking up!

  5. What's even funnier than the movie is hearing my husband and son repeat many of the quotes in perfect Nacho Lingo. My family chuckled a lot. It's quirky yet endearing.

  6. i do NOT like nasty humor (which is why i haven't seen a lot of JB's movies), but oh my gosh, we laugh ourselves silly at Nacho Libre.

it's so, so very stupid! but i'm with Tonya on this one, it makes me laugh out loud!

doesn't everyone have a lucky machete?
